Year Six had their final leavers' assembly today, saying goodbye to friends and teachers. Here are their leavers' songs with music videos and memories from 2010 to 2017.
On their last day, the Year Six children visited the other classes in the school to get their shirts signed by children and teachers - a fantastic memento of their time at EFPS! Year Six had an early lunch together today to celebrate the end of their time together. Nathan from the songwriting charity popped in to see the Year Six Leavers' music videos that we made to go with the leavers' songs. He helped us write the songs earlier this term and we have loved working on them. We were also able to share the good news about Apprentice Day and the £500 that we raised for the songwriting charity. Thanks again Nathan!
Year Six took part in their final sports day at EFPS today competing in ten activities to win points for their houses. In the end, Lodge came out victorious!
The third annual Apprentice Day took place last Friday with ten groups of Year Six children selling their food, drinks, games or activities for the other children in the school to take part in and enjoy. All of the ten teams made at least £25 profit each, with the winning team - 'Footpop' - making over £95 profit alone! Taking all ten teams' takings into account we raised over £500 on the day for the Songwriting Charity, who helped us write our leavers' songs! A great success!
We celebrated in style last night at the Year Six leavers' disco.
The Year Six girls cricket team competed in the Essex finals yesterday, coming a fantastic fourteenth in the county! They also met ex-England captain Nasser Hussain who helped umpire one of their games. Well done girls!
We were incredibly proud of our year 6 maths team who made it to the Essex finals this week. Out of a 147 schools, we made it into the top 14. The children who competed did so with some superb team work and were an absolute credit to the school.
